This is my first Thanksgiving as a blogger. I am writng this in between baking a pie and making homemade cranberry sauce. I just want to say a huge Thank You! to all of my friends and family who took the time to love and support my blogging adventure. You cared enough to vote for me. You told me how much you loved my blog in person, by email, by telephone and best of all by voting for it. It feels great to win. It feels nice to be noticed.
Thanks to the HSBA Post for sponsoring the nominations. This has helped me to "come out of the blogging closet." I'm finally not embarrassed to share my blog with people. Before I felt it would be boasting: "come and see MY blog." My close homeschool friends tolerated it. Now I realize, it is o.k. So what if they don't agree, think I'm a nutcase or notice my bad grammar? Especially when a contest was involved, smiles. I am not ashamed of my cheap thrifty ways.
I thankful for my dear thrifty buddy Shirley. She thinks she nominated me, she can't remember exactly. That's what's so cool about Shirl, the short term memory loss makes her so kind and forgiving. She has been my sister-in-homeschooling for years. I remember when I first got to know my over-acheiving friend. We co-ordinated a homeschool science night. I should say, I hung onto her coattails as she worked like a dog. I was so blessed by her. Her love for her family, God's creation, and teaching her children shine, despite the burdens she carries. She has no idea how much her life blesses me.
Praise God for the Gman. I can't leave him out even though he wishes I would.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I welcome reader comments with open arms. I also understand if you aren't the commenting or hugging type of person, you can drop me an email at accidentallyhomeschooling@gmail.com.

Please consider submitting something about homeschooling to the Carnival of Homeschooling. If you are interested, here are the instructions.
If this week is bad for you, you are always welcome to submit to future carnivals.
If a "blog carnival" is a new term, this might help.
Here is the archive of previous carnivals
Participating in a blog carnvial is a good way to get more exposure for your blog.
Thank you for your consideration.
So cool you won! Congrats!
