Here are my answers:

1. What is one thing you miss the most about childhood?
My mom and her unconditional love. Even when I was the brat, she still loved me.

2. Are you still friends with your friends from high school?
Sadly, no. Two years after graduated, I became a Christian. I shared my faith with all of my friends. The difference in our lifestyles was so extreme that I just didn't fit in anymore. I am praising God for that, not complaining. I do keep in touch with one friend, but for the most part, I have moved on. Considering, I graduated five months pregnant and unmarried, high school was not my glory years at all.  Quick jump onto my little soapbox: I thank God he rescued me from that life of being a single mom. The Bible has the answer for welfare reform. Quit sinning, live right, get married and become a responsible, productive person. O.k. back to our questions.

3. Is there a catch phrase, cliche, or word that just drives you bonkers every time you hear it?

Here is my complaint:
Because I am a mom to 4 sons, I am frequently in the company of numerous young teen-aged boys. When they are praising or admiring something they say "Oh man, that is NASTY!" My skin crawls even typing this. To me, nasty means creepy old men, filthy things, yucky disgusting things...nothing nice at all. Please stop this children, your mother hates it with a passion doesn't like it.
Thank you.

4. What is one thing that you think symbolizes America...besides "Old Glory"?

Patriotic music. I actually get goosebumps when I hear some of them. This is one of my favorites:

5. What are your 4th of July weekend plans?

Taking it easy. We'll be at church cookout. At night, we hope to catch some fireworks and just maybe meet StatueMan's friend. I'll try to be on my best behavior. And of course, I won't blog about her. Did I mention he has a blog? I don't think he will blog about her unless she becomes a professional athlete.

Happy 4th.
