What My Child is Reading

Remember hearing you are what you eat? How about this thought; you are what you read? Spend some time in the Word and you will be different. If you spend time reading great books, God willing, you can be inspired for greatness. If you spend time reading my silly blog....you can be a little silly, but I'm o.k. with that.
This is what my kids are reading this week, when they are not hiding from me avoiding chores.

Paperboy is currently reading Howard Pyle's Book of  Pirates. The illustrations are amazing. He had just finished Men of Iron by Pyle. Paperboy tends to find an author and savor their works.  These author tangents began years ago with Bill Peet and Steven Kellogg. He has not acted like a pirate lately, but he hasn't finished the book yet.

Random is hooked on the The kid's Left Behind Series. He is on book 14, Judgment Day by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. This has been an excellent way to begin our summer reading. The boys and I just finished a Fisherman's Bible study on the topic of the last days and Bible Prophecy.

Little Guy has been reading non-fiction books about money. He spent one whole morning counterfeiting creating his own bills and coins. Soon daddy can quit working.

I just acquired some twaddle treasures at our local homeschool used curriculum sale. It may be a late night for me, thanks to Lori's great deal on some Christian fiction. I spent about an hour admiring my deals on Rod and Staff(FREE), much to my son's disappointment.

What are your children reading? I love when others share their favorites. To join this meme, just stop by Mouse Grows, Mouse Learns grab the button and hook up with the linky.

I welcome reader comments with open arms. I also understand if you aren't the commenting or hugging type of person, you can drop me an email at accidentallyhomeschooling@gmail.com.

Thank you for joining What My Child Is Reading. I always love to discover new books and new blogs. The comment about counterfeit money cracked me up.
