Five Question Friday, Late night version, tired and grumpy

While I was typing this up, Gman just asked are me if I was doing frivolous Friday? Now that's pretty cute. Yes dear, to you and any other male species it is frivolous. To bloggers, it is fun Friday. Join in the fun in the comment section, or better yet, visit MamaM. and play with us.

Questions for Friday, June 11th:

1. What do you think makes a good friend, or friendship?

2. What is the last thing you bought & later regretted?

3. Have you ever had a prank played on you?

4. What is your favorite theme park?

5. Have you ever seen someone else give birth?

Here are my answers:

1. What do you think makes a good friend, or friendship?

I have a few friends that I can call when I need help and they do it without hesitation. Sometimes, that is the kind of friend I need.Hopefully, I am not that needy of a person, that my good buddies start using caller ID. But, I hope to reciprocate.

A friend loves at all times.

Even when I am grumpy and miserable, my friends who still put up with me, these friends are great friends.

Lastly, I have a few great friends that we don't see each other enough, time and distance hinder this. When we hang out, it's like they were always with me. Now those are treasures, too.

2. What is the last thing you bought and later regretted?

I have a 3 piece set of rugs that is going to be returned tomorrow. Now, it wasn't like I was in deep regret, I just couldn't think strait that early in the morning and it wasn't what I needed

3. Have you ever had a prank played on you?

This April Fools Day my 14 year-old put a rubber band around the kitchen spray hose. I turned the water on and it didn't nail me, it sprayed all over the kitchen and on some papers on the counter. Now, I wasn't too good humored about it, because we have had a few water problems lately. Cleaning up leaks was wearing thin. No wait, 14 year-old boys are wearing thin on me lately.

4. What is your favorite theme park?

This is the toughest 5qf yet. I LOVE Hershey Park. I only have been there once but, the memories of it are still fresh. The little chocolate factory tour was a sweet way to start the day there. I Changed my mind, I LOVE Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. The Kingda Kah is an incredible ride. Next time I'll try to keep my eyes open longer. And of course, I love Shamu and SeaWorld.

5. Have you ever seen someone else give birth?

Yes, I have. The funny thing about this is, I had not planned on it. My friend(I was the maid of honor in her wedding) was in labor and called me. Now we had not discussed this, but I being the kind of friend in question 1 had to show up. I am the nursing school drop out. I cried my first day on the floor. She must have dialed the wrong number. I was praying the entire 15 minute ride to the hospital things like this:

"Lord, please help me to say nice things."
"Please help me be like my sweet buddy Maureen, who always knows what to say at difficult times."
"Please help me not faint."

Her little girl arrived uneventfully and my friend was so thankful for all of my 'help'.

I can't say that I had a sudden urge to become a birth coach. After that, I had 3 more babies myself. I felt it was something to experience between my husband and I, so no one else was there for my childbirths. I liked it that way. So if you are one of my pregnant friends, take the hint......call me after the baby, I'll bring you some chocolate.

Disclosure *I don't like to cheat. I write my answers before I read any other 5QF blogs. Any similarities to others are purely coincidental or just because great minds think alike.

Have a great weekend!
