Five Question Friday.....

O.k. here's the scoop from Mama M.

Rules for Five Question Friday: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then c'mon back to link up! If it floats your boat, you can even grab the blog hop code! I would love it if you'd link back to me, Mama M., but that's not a requirement! ;)

1. Is there something you've always wanted to try but just can't muster up the courage to actually do yet?

2. If you had $100 handed to you in cash without your significant other knowing about it, what would you spend it on?

3. What was your favorite piece of playground equipment as a child?

4. Do you prefer a sweet or hearty breakfast?

5. Are you a Neat Freak or a Messy Bessy?

These are great questions...if you have never played, today is a perfect day to jump in.

1. Is there something you've always wanted to try but just can't muster up the courage to actually do yet?

A few months ago, I would have said try blogging. If I had the courage to ignore reality and bills, I would jump in an RV with my family and go across the country. It's not courage I lack, just the funds.

2. If you had $100 handed to you in cash without your significant other knowing about it, what would you spend it on?

If I was smart, I would head over to the nearest restaurant, buy myself and a friend dinner. I really enjoy a meal that I don't have to prepare. Dining out is so not thrifty, but it is one of my pleasures I love. I love this with adults, not children. It is a rare moment to see me in a restaurant with children.

I know that if I didn't go out to eat right away, common sense would kick in and I would just go grocery shopping or something mundane. When I get birthday money, I have to hurry up and spend it or it will be used for household things.

3. What was your favorite piece of playground equipment as a child?

Playgrounds used to have these merry go rounds that spun you so fast, you had to hold on for dear life. That was my first physics lesson on centrifugal force. We do have a chance when we are in Jersey to ride on one near my sister-in-laws house. Now I get a little queasy, so I spin they ride. The last few times we were there, the merry go round was surrounded by a puddle. There is more incentive to hold on tight.

4. Do you prefer a sweet or hearty breakfast?

Hearty all the way. Not too hearty or I will want to go back to bed. Those sweet breakfasts are not for me.  They just give me a case of the hungry horrors a few hours later. That is not a pretty sight.

5. Are you a Neat Freak or a Messy Bessy?

Messy Bessy with a little type-A mixed in. A long time ago, I bought a book by Sandra Feldon called Messie No More. It worked for a few weeks. It's not to say I do not love it when my house is clean. I remember my mom being a messie and then when all the kids moved out she became very neat. I would be happy if I could be somewhere in the middle. I do have this friend that is perfect in every way, her only downfall is she is a messy. We agreed she has to stay that way so we won't hate her. My friend Shirley didn't believe that I was a messy, so I made her come in my house one Saturday to show off my mess. O.k. I am weird.

Have a great weekend.
