Blog News Post # 97

It's hard to believe that I have posted 96 blog posts. Last February, when the ground was frozen and the agoraphobia had set in, I started this blog. I applied for a position as a curriculum reviewer for The Old Schoolhouse. One of the questions on the application was; do you have a blog or will you be willing to start one? Yes, like right after I get done with this application. Within a day or two, I was up and running. I just love putting my odd thoughts in writing.

I must admit when I applied, I shamelessly dropped my friend Lori's name. I called her the chosen one when she became a reviewer. Lori is a fellow homeschool mom that has 7 kids, two blogs and still finds time to paint her toenails. She is in her third year with the TOS Crew. She's been a great encouragement to me. She follows, joins me in memes and even comments on my posts. (Subtle hint, I do like comments.) Visit her blogs here and here.

Since that first entry, I have had so many chances to post spelling errors, major grammar blunders and bore my friends and family with occasional child worship. I really wasn't sure if I would make the cut. I was positive that I was hooked on blogging. I love participating in Memes, posting pictures and just pouring my heart out. I knew, thanks to my pal Jan(keep those emails coming), that God had a plan and I had confidence in His future for me and this blog.  The other night, this was in my email:

Our Third Voyage is About to Embark!

CONGRATULATIONS!

You have been selected as a member of the TOS Homeschool Crew for the 2010-11 year!

What does this mean to me? Here's what I think it means....
  • Random and Paperboy will be my Guinea pigs for new curriculum.
  • We will get the opportunity to test new products, that we may have never thought of trying.
  • I will be bragging, analyzing, criticizing, and sharing about new products here.
  • I will be getting to know other crew members, yeah more socialization for me. We know about the real socialization question. What about the Mom?
  • I will have a small part in a company that I totally adore. If you know me or if I have your email address, you have already heard my glowing reports of my all time favorite home school magazine.                       The Old Schoolhouse
  • I will be entering into our home high school years alongside other reviewers.
And speaking of new bloggers, I need to give a shout out to my newest blog follower/and friend Lindsey at ...Glimpse...  She's a new blogger with something to say. Drop by and tell her Terri G. sent you.

I welcome reader comments with open arms. I also understand if you aren't the commenting or hugging type of person, you can drop me an email at accidentallyhomeschooling@gmail.com.
