Five Question Friday #7

Here's one of my favorite blog days. I would be terribly happy if you played along. Here are the questions and the plan: Copy and paste these onto your blog or the comments section. Then be sure to link up to MamaM. and add a McLinky to your post. I don't mind sharing my blog or guest bloggers. See yesterday's post.

1. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

2. Did you ever go to summer camp?

3. What sends you running and screaming in the other direction?

4. What is something you do that drives your spouse nuts?

5. What is currently your favorite song?

1. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Please, I would not want to bore anyone and even think of a movie of my life. I realize Pioneer Woman is pondering this right now, but not this bloggy woman. If I had to choose someone, I would be lost. I am uninterested in pop culture and I don't really know enough about a movie starlet to think of her trying to portray my wierdness.

2. Did you ever go to summer camp?

Here's where we send the internet pity party cake and ice cream over to me. No, I didn't come from one of those homes that had extra money for summer camp. But you can be sure that if there was money for camp, we all would have been sent. We were professional misbehaved children. My bad days with my own kids cannot be compared to the grief we put my Ma through.

3. What sends you running and screaming in the other direction?    notice the larger font...

Busybodies!  God is with me on this one, too.

1 Timothy 5:13 "Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to."
When people are trying to dig into someone's life and be nosey, I finally figured out how to repel them.
"Why do you need to know that?"
This will usually shut them up. Of course, if they are really ignorant and don't get it, I will run the other way.

So... if you notice you are being avoided by me, it's time for a little self-reflection.

4. What is something you do that drives your spouse nuts?

I put the silverware in the dishwasher upside down. I've been doing this for years. The other day, in a grumpy voice, I finally let him know the same grubby water runs all through the dishwasher and there is no right way. I think I hurt his feelings. He hasn't brought it up since.

5. What is currently your favorite song?

This current minute it is I Will Rise. In ten minutes, it will change.

Have a great weekend!

Yeah Becky: My first replier today:
Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?
My daughter Lauren. That way it would seem real since she's my twin. Plus, she knows all my quirks and facial expressions.

Did you ever go to summer camp?
I also did not come from a family with money to spend on such things. Besides, I was so well behaved that my parents would never have wanted me to go away for the summer. ;-)In reality, my parents weren't home to see all the stuff I was involved in. Maybe if they knew, they would have sent me to summer camp. Although, any friend I did have that went to summer camp always came back with stories of things that were going on there that any parent would be horrified to know about. Thus the reason I would NEVER send my kids to summer camp! (even if we could afford it)

What sends you running and screaming in the other direction?
S. p. i. d. e. r. s. !!!! I can't even stand the sight of the word in print let alone the sight of one in person. Cartoon ones give me the willies. Plastic, real, photos. It doesn't matter. Just saying the "T" word sends an electric feeling through my body. I start to have breathing problems if I am in a basement for too long, or anywhere else that I feel threatened. No, I'm not exaggerating. This is why I believe the evangelists that say that Asthma is a spirit of fear. I could go on and on about this subject, but I'll just not.

What is something you do that drives your spouse crazy?
This is the question that made me finally want to try this Friday question thing because it made me laugh out loud! Where do I begin to answer this question? There are so many things! Apparently I am a "lip-smacker". This is someone who eats loudly and whose mouth opens involuntarily every fourth or fifth bite. If you have also noticed this, my apologies. Like I said, it's involuntary. And then there's my "phone impediment" as we call it. Asking me to make a phone call is like asking me to give blood. In fact, I might rather give blood. (I hate needles, too) I don't know what it is, but I hate making phone calls. It all stems from the fact that I am a social retard. I don't know what to say to people unless I have a specific question or reason to talk. "Small talk" is my nemesis. So, when it comes to making a phone call I get all flustered. :-X Thankfully, my spouse is the opposite and can talk to anybody about anything for an hour. Dang! He just called as I'm writing this. He wants me to call the B's to see how they liked their Mimosa tree back in Yarmouth because he's thinking about planting one in our yard. I am frozen with fear. Did I mention that my spouse can't stand all my little fears? Did I mention the s.p.i.d.e.r.s.? Again, I could go on and on.....

What is currently your favorite song?
This is like asking me what my favorite scripture is. How do I narrow it down to just one? How about one from each of my favorite artists? Steven Curtis Chapman: "What now?" Third Day: "Give" Mercyme: "I can only imagine" Casting Crowns: "Prayer for a Friend"
Nuastaba: "Love Like a River" Accapella: "All I need"

Well, this has been fun. Maybe I'll do it again next week.

If you want to know a little more about this fun friend of mine, she is the face for t.v. pal in this post http://accidentallyhomeschooling.blogspot.com/2010/02/thrifty-thursday-or-passive-agressive.html

Great answers!
Come back next Friday.
